Olivia Jayne Boone

Well, she finally came! This post is shamefully late, but our sweet new addition is finally here! She was born at 5:25 AM January 24th and she weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and was 20 in. long. I had an excellent labor with her. I started having contractions at about 10:30 PM on Friday the 23rd and we started counting to see if these were for real or not. Haha, I was so afraid that I would go to the hospital and they would send me back for false labor or something! So we made sure they were coming about 5 minutes apart and then called the on-call CNM. I was so excited to learn that Abby was on call (we had appointments with her and I mentioned to Jordan that it would be nice to have her deliver the baby). We then called Kate to come pick up Layna (Thanks Shane, Kate, and family! We really appreciate it!) and then we were off to the hospital. Jordan let me squeeze his hand with the contractions on the way down as they were getting pretty substantial! They were then coming about 3 minutes apart and it took me FOREVER just to get to the doors of the hospital! We had a good time, we were joking and having fun and we got all set up. Because I was Group B Strep Positive, I had to be on anti-biotics for 4 hours. I would have had the baby in about 1/2 an hour if not for that. The labor was great, I pushed for about 5 minutes and then she was here! She is just so sweet and when they handed her to me, she was crying, and then she just stopped! It was like she knew her mommy and was able to calm down after hearing my voice! Motherhood is the best thing ever and I am SO blessed to have two beautiful little girls! We are SO excited to watch her grow and get to know her wonderful personality! WE ARE SO GLAD TO HAVE YOU IN OUR FAMILY!!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH OLIVIA!!!
